While there is no shortage of clinical skincare on the market today, a focus on inclusivity within this category is often lacking. Enter Epi.Logic, a line of meticulously edited, powerful skincare products with essential actives, formulated for all skin tones, with eye-catching packaging to boot.
Created by Dr. Chaneve Jeanniton, a board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon and founder of Brooklyn Face & Eye, a boutique practice with a holistic approach to facial refinement, Epi.Logic is an extension of Jeanniton’s Surface, Shape and Structure™ aesthetic vision. “Surface, shape and structure refers to my layered approach to beauty,” she explains. “In my practice, I aim to treat with fewer efficacious, complementary procedures to maximize benefit and minimize intervention. Epi.logic underscores this philosophy. Each product was meant to multitask. They are inherently potent on their own but designed to exponentially combine.”

Designed to bridge the gap between data-vetted, industry-leading clinical skincare and the beauty and belonging we all seek in our self-care, Epi.logic is also a brand that caters to melanin-rich skin and hyperpigmentation-prone skin. “Epi.Logic is clinical skincare, evolved,” says Jeanniton. “For me, that means taking a modern approach by centering the needs of skin of color while leading with innovative, research-backed skincare science. Our formulation philosophy is straightforward – when you center the needs of the most sensitive, typified by the concerns experienced by BIPOC skin, you create products and experiences suitable for all skin tones and skin types.”

To that end, the line features hardworking, hero ingredients and highly effective yet gentle multi-tasking formulations. The Master Plan Collagen Renew Growth Factor Serum (already a cult product) was inspired by her love of microneedling procedures and contains a proprietary Cell Service blend of clinically vetted bioactive, stem cell-derived epidermal growth factors and powerful Peptides, along with Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate, Sea Kelp bioferment (a vegan collagen) to firm, and brightening Snow Mushroom and Shiitake extract. “I wanted to replicate those regenerative benefits as much as possible without needing a doctor’s appointment,” she says of the serum. The Double Feature overnight treatment, meanwhile, contains an encapsulated time-release Retinol and Vitamin A complex along with AHAs, to liberate the skin surface of dead, dull, and damaged cells, and Squalane to hydrate. “We take a ‘work smarter, not harder’ approach for less sensitivity, increased efficacy, and enhanced inclusivity,” she explains.

And if that wasn’t enough to tempt you to try Epi.Logic, the shelf-worthy packaging most certainly will. Housed in colorful glass bottles with sculptural stoppers, the design challenges the notion that clinical has to be, well, clinical. “I wanted to create something that felt like a piece of art, something that you’re going to look forward to seeing on your vanity, something that’s going to bring you joy on a daily basis,” says Jeanniton of the design. “Our motif is the dot, a seemingly banal element that we imbue with energy and creativity and serves as both a nod to dark spots (aka hyperpigmentation, which is a special area of focus for Epi.logic) and a visual metaphor for our fresh take–that clinical can also be chic.”
