Live Shopping Recap - Blue Lagoon Iceland
There’s been a lot of buzz around BL+ skincare at Onda recently: since the brand joined us at the beginning of 2022, they’ve taken over our Signature Facial not once, not twice, but three times (one of those times being right now, during the entire month of October! There’s still time to book if you’re interested ;) and they’ve launched five gorgeous products with us. The most recent being The Cream, a luxurious and deeply nourishing moisturizer that became available only last week, just in time for the colder months ahead (if you’re in the Northeast like we are, anyway).
To help showcase the aforementioned cream and two other BL+ superstars, Sag Harbor estheticians Katherine and Janice starred in last week’s live event to walk us through a mini BL+ treatment at home. Here are the highlights, in case you missed it:
Step 1: Algae Mask.
The unofficial first step in your routine should be to clean your face, as you want to begin the masking process on a nice clean canvas. Once that’s done, you can follow Katherine’s pro tip: if you don’t have a mask brush, use a spoon to apply. The cold metal will feel so nice on your skin and help calm inflammation. Use the Algae Mask once or twice a week, leaving on for 5-10 minutes each time. And always remember to show some love to your neck and décolleté while you’re at it.
Step 2: The Eye Serum.
More cold metal! Katherine and Janice particularly love this eye serum because of the roller applicator. The cooling sensation is so soothing, and rolling the ball over the orbital bone feels like a mini massage. The formula fights crows feet and fine lines, while brightening and depuffing. Janice recommends keeping it in your purse and applying a hit when your eyes start to feel tired. Inevitable during the dreaded afternoon slump.
Step 3: The Cream.
Katherine says it “looks like marshmallow fluff”. What’s better, the exclusive BL+ Complex in the formula harnesses the healing and regenerative powers of the Blue Lagoon’s bioactive water. Microalgae and silica, two patented ingredients derived from the unique mineral-rich waters of Iceland’s national treasure, help strengthen the skin barrier, prevent collagen breakdown, and promote collagen synthesis.
