Why is clean beauty important to you?
We are becoming more engaged, thoughtful, and educated consumers. When I began to understand the dangers of things like phthalates that have been in our beauty products for years, it really changed my attitude. Especially as we age and hit peri-menopause, these kinds of chemicals can wreak havoc on the body. Clean beauty is about health as much as anything.

5. AGING GRACEFULLY
How do you feel about aging gracefully?
To be honest? I think it’s marketing crap to tell women they should age gracefully. Aging is hard. It’s weird to look in the mirror and not entirely recognize yourself. Certainly for me in middle age, It’s a long process of acceptance. There is a sense of loss and grief but once we can get past that, there is a whole new version of yourself to love and in which to revel.

It may feel surprising to some to wash your face (rather than moisturize it) with this kind of texture in a cleansing product, but I promise you, it’s life-changing.
