Live Shopping Recap
Our second Instagram live shopping event was just as successful as our first: it was CHOCK FULL of useful information from our massage therapist, Sophie, and Tribeca store manager, Nikki. The dynamic duo walked us through a 4-step routine for showing your body a little love at home with two gorgeous products and two equally gorgeous tools. We highly recommend watching now for the amazing content and energy of our lovely hostesses; but if you don’t have the time, check out our recap below.

Prana Ionic Body Brush
The copper bristles on this brush create negative ions that are a boon for our body and well being. This in turn creates a bio-chemical interaction in the body that produces more of that famous feel-good hormone, serotonin. The brush also prevents free radicals from being able to attach to the skin, thereby making it anti-aging. Now for the practical stuff: use on dry skin before you shower. Apply gentle strokes, always moving upwards toward the heart. This action stimulates lymph fluid and circulation, all while exfoliating. The brush can be used daily; just pay attention to how your skin is responding.
Sophie’s Pro Tip: Dry brushing can be used, in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise of course, to improve the appearance of cellulite.

One love organics vitamin c polish
The next step is exfoliation. You know the drill: exfoliation gets rid of dead skin cells, revealing glowing skin underneath. It also allows skin to better absorb subsequent treatments (like the luxurious body oil we’ll be mentioning next). Sophie especially loves this product because it smells like a “gorgeous vacation in a bottle” and because it’s a refreshing and oh-so-pleasant way to wake up in the morning.
Sophie’s Pro Tip: Always use on damp skin. You can apply in the shower, easy peasy. And one disclaimer: never use on your face–it’s a bit too grainy.

Osea undaria algae body oil
This bestselling (and we mean bestselling. Store manager Nikki tells us that she sees clients come in to replenish frequently) body oil is rich in high-mineral algae, which has massive antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. The liquid gold formula softens, nourishes, and firms like no other; it also visibly diminishes the look of sagging skin and reduces the appearance of stretch marks. Unlike some other oils, it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy. Last but not least, the fragrance is otherworldly: Nikki describes it as ocean plus citrus, and Sophie loves the cypress note, which offers an awakening experience for the senses.
Sophie’s Pro Tip: Apply to décolleté if you’re going out for the evening and want a little sexy glow. Bonus tip! If your skin is extra dry, layer the oil with a body balm: apply oil first, followed by balm to lock in moisture.

Costa brazil massage tool
Wait: is this a piece of art, or body tool? We’re calling it both. Beauty and function collide in Costa Brazil’s Massageador. Sophie uses it in the traditional medicine practice called “scraping”, which is very similar to gua sha. Simply use long, gliding motions (again, up towards the heart) for a full-body lymphatic drainage experience. It’s also a great vehicle for deep tissue massage, which as Sophie notes, can take a toll on your thumbs! Give those digits a break and use this tool instead. The points can also be used for acupressure. Last but not least, the beautiful stainless steel piece makes for a great luxe gift.
Sophie’s Pro Tip: Use to alleviate tech neck. You know it well; we all do! All that time spent bending over our various devices leaves us with a telltale creak in the neck, for which this tool works wonders.
