With summer comes sunshine, and with sunshine comes sun exposure. And while we are committed to our SPF and are mindful to wear it daily year round, our skin still suffers the effects of overexposure sometimes, despite our best efforts. Lucky for us, we have an arsenal of skin-loving clean beauty that we can count on at times like these.
One of our favorite sunburn soothers to reach for is the Organic Soothing Gel from Dr. Alkaitis. If you don’t know/haven’t used this brand yet, we suggest you check it out stat: it flies a bit under the radar but its products are truly spectacular. Exhibit A: the Organic Soothing Gel, whose Aloe Vera base deeply comforts, hydrates, and revitalizes the skin. This gel is anti-bacterial, reduces redness and irritation, and leaves skin soft and supple. If you’re dealing with something a little more serious, it effectively calms down inflammatory conditions including acne, eczema, and rosacea.
The Dr. Alkaitis line of skincare is one of the few we know of that utilizes Organic Grape Alcohol, which is highly beneficial for skin and facilitates the nutrient-rich composition to be optimally absorbed by the skin. Organic Grape Alcohol is so pure that the brand says you could actually drink it (though we’re not necessarily advising it!) and it won’t dry out your skin or damage it in any way, unlike the de-natured version of alcohol that can be found in some other products.
